Things to do in Lake Bunyonyi, Translated as a “place of many little birds”, Lake Bunyonyi is one of the most beautiful places to relax during Uganda safaris. At a depth of approximately 900 meters, this Lake believed to be the second deepest Lake in the African Continent. Lake Bunyonyi believed to have existed for over 18000 years. And formed when Lava from a volcanic eruption blocked a Valley in Ruchiga Mountains, which are close to the present-day Muko village on the Northwestern edge of this Lake. This Lake is about 6 kilometers at its widest and 22 kilometers long, and is fringed by spectacular mountains that tower to over 600 meters above the Lake.
